Here at Tympa we are always striving to develop our services. We value the feedback we receive from our customers and take this into consideration when thinking about how we can improve.
As you know, we update our software regularly in order to make changes that will benefit the user experience of our customers. We’d like to update you on what’s new this month for your iOS TympaHealth app.
Changes to mandatory fields:
When you are creating a new patient, there are now only two mandatory data fields: date of birth and patient reference number.
We’ve made this change to enable our customers to quickly and seamlessly set up a new patient record on the Tympa system. What’s more, using a reference number instead of a name offers you the option to anonymise patients and increase data security. You can of course still add a name however this is now not a mandatory field.
We have made some changes to the consent form. Now, when you are running through the list of questions you will be able to record whether the patient responds with a yes or no. This ensures you have accurately recorded their response which improves clinical governance.
New voice commands:
We have adjusted the voice commands that enable you to capture photos and video during a consultation whilst leaving both your hands free to examine your patient. This change has been made to prevent the accidental capture of unwanted images and video and keeps your records accurate and clear.
Now, to capture a photo or video you need to use the below commands:
Photo: “capture a photo now” / “capture a picture now” / “capture image now”
Start video: “start recording now” / “start video now”
End video: “stop recording now” / “stop video now”
The hearing screener has been enhanced to facilitate the faster capture of hearing thresholds. This means patient hearing screener test results are now quicker and more accurate than ever before.
Ensuring your headphones are paired correctly with your device:
In order to achieve an accurate hearing screener result, your Sennheiser headphones need to be paired correctly with your Tympa device and the volume set to maximum (both on the headphones and your Tympa device). You also need to ensure the noise cancellation function is switched on.
Typically, you simply need to power on your headphones and they will automatically connect to your Tympa device. However, if you have received replacement headphones, you will have to pair them manually. Click here for instructions to help you do this correctly.
Please also remember to power your headphones off after each use and always charge overnight to ensure you have sufficient battery.
Uploading to Tympa Panel:
We’d like to take this opportunity to remind you to ensure you have a good WiFi connection before you upload photos and videos to our secure cloud. Having a strong and stable connection will ensure all your media is uploaded and stored securely and prevents any data loss.
